  • Hitters line up to take turns at the tee.
Swing Mechanics Progression DrillTee at belt heightLevel swingpathDry rehearsal -> middle of zone -> corners -> live swings

Instructions

  1. Start with a dry load-and-stride rehearsal with no ball, checking balance and hand position.
  2. Add the tee at the middle of the zone and take five swings focusing only on a level path through the ball.
  3. Move the tee to the inside and outside corners for five swings each, adjusting the swing path.
  4. Finish with a round of live swings off the tee at full effort.
Coaching Points
  • Balance first - a hitter who's falling over can't repeat a swing.
  • Keep the hands inside the ball rather than casting the barrel out early.
  • Finish the swing all the way through, not just to contact.

Variation

Add soft toss once tee work is consistent, to introduce timing on top of mechanics.
