This one just needs balloons from the party store, but a basic coaching-aid kit keeps the rest of practice running smoothly.

- Partners stand a few feet apart, one balloon per pair.
- No hoop or ball needed — works in any small, open indoor space.
Instructions
- Partner A gently tosses the balloon to Partner B using two hands.
- Partner B tracks the balloon and catches it with two hands above the waist.
- Continue tossing back and forth, taking a step back after every 5 clean catches.
- Count the team's longest streak of catches without the balloon touching the ground.
Coaching Points
- Hands should be up and ready before the balloon arrives, not reaching late.
- Encourage players to move their feet to get under the balloon rather than just stretching their arms.
- This is a confidence-building activity — keep the tone playful and celebrate every catch.
- A great rainy-day or indoor alternative when court space is limited.
Variation
Progress to a soft foam ball once catching is consistent, or have pairs try to keep the balloon up using only one hand each.
