Mark the boundary
A set of cones makes it easy to mark a clear, fast-moving boundary for the whole group to play within.

- Mark a boundary with cones or use existing lines.
- Choose one or two players to start as it (the defenders).
Instructions
- All non-it players move around the boundary using a defensive slide, staying low with feet sliding rather than running upright.
- Defenders try to tag another player while staying in their own defensive stance the whole time.
- A tagged player becomes a defender too, until only one or two players remain.
- Restart with new starting defenders for another round.
Coaching Points
- Everyone, offense and defenders, must stay in a low defensive stance the entire time.
- Reward players who slide their feet correctly, not just the fastest tagger.
- Keep the boundary small enough that the game stays fast-paced.
Variation
Require defenders to tag with an active-hands swipe rather than a two-hand touch, to reinforce hand activity.
