Keep balls in the shooting line
A bulk bag of lacrosse balls keeps shooting-on-the-run reps flowing without a pause to collect balls from the net.

- Players line up with balls at a cone marking the start of a shooting run, angled toward the goal.
- A goalie (or empty net) is the target.
Instructions
- Player begins running with the ball cradled, building to full speed as they approach the shooting area.
- Without stopping or slowing significantly, shift the stick into shooting position.
- Release the shot at full speed, following through toward the target.
- Retrieve the ball and jog back to the line to repeat.
Coaching Points
- The shot should come from the same running motion, not a full stop-and-plant — that's what makes this shot different from a stationary one.
- Keep the eyes on the target through the release, even while the body is moving at speed.
- It's normal for accuracy to drop compared to a stationary shot at first; that gap closes with repetition.
- A full follow-through matters just as much on the run as it does standing still.
Variation
Add a defender applying light pursuit to increase realism, or vary the shooting angle by starting from different spots on the field.
