- Players spread out, each with a stick and ball, facing the coach.
- Coach calls out a series of simple stick-skill instructions.
Instructions
- Coach calls a move only after saying "Simon says" (e.g. "Simon says cradle on your left side").
- Players attempt the move while continuing to cradle their ball.
- If the coach calls a move WITHOUT saying "Simon says" first, players who do it sit out one round.
- Rotate through several different stick positions and simple moves over the game.
Coaching Points
- Keep the moves simple and achievable — switching cradle sides, holding the stick high, cradling while kneeling.
- This is about exposure and fun repetition, not technical perfection.
- Demonstrate each move once before calling it so players know what to attempt.
- Keep the mood light; sitting out for a round is a minor, low-stakes consequence.
Variation
Let a confident player take over calling moves, or add simple footwork (a hop, a small shuffle) to the calls for older groups.
