Setup

Instructions

  1. Begin with soft feed grounders to emphasize glove work and body position.
  2. Progress to live feeding where infielders field, communicate, and make game-appropriate throws to bases.
  3. Work on double-play turns, cutoffs, and recovery after bad hops.
Coaching Points
  • Approach fielding with momentum toward the throw target to shorten exchange time.
  • Prioritize clean transfers and accurate throws over rushed attempts.
  • Communicate loudly - call "I got it" or "you take" on crowded plays.
